The Adicts je britská punková kapela z Ipswiche v Suffolku, založená v roce 1975. Tato formace si vybudovala charakteristickou image inspirovanou filmem Mechanický pomeranč a díky rychlé, optimistické hudbě a odlehčeným textům se výrazně odlišovala od ostatních punkových skupin své doby. V osmdesátých letech byla kapela velmi populární a pravidelně se objevovala v nezávislých žebříčcích.
Kompilace Za zvuků hudby vyšla v listopadu 1982 u vydavatelství Razor Records a přináší 13 nahrávek z raného období skupiny. Album zachycuje charakteristický zvuk The Adicts – svižný punk rock s melodickými prvky a živelnou energií. Mezi skladbami najdete How Sad, Chinese Takeaway, Joker in the Pack či My Baby Got Run Over by a Steamroller. Deska byla později několikrát reedována s bonusovými skladbami u různých vydavatelství.
