The Pogues jsou britská skupina, která v osmdesátých letech položila základy keltského punku. Hrají směs tradiční irské hudby a punku, využívají banjo, tin whistle, akordeon a další tradiční nástroje. Kapela se proslavila zejména živými vystoupeními v londýnských pubech a klubech.
Album Red Roses For Me vyšlo v roce 1984 jako debut skupiny. Toto výroční vydání na 2 CD přináší vedle originální nahrávky také B-strany singlů a záznamy z legendárních BBC Sessions pro Johna Peela a Davida 'Kid' Jensena z roku 1984. První CD obsahuje klasické skladby jako Transmetropolitan, Streams Of Whiskey či Dark Streets Of London, druhý disk pak alternativní verze a živé nahrávky.
Původní sestavu tvořili Shane MacGowan (zpěv, kytara), Spider Stacy (tin whistle), Jem Finer (banjo), James Fearnley (akordeon), Cait O'Riordan (baskytara) a Andrew Ranken (bicí).
