Motörhead byla britská speed metalová skupina, kterou v roce 1975 založil baskytarista a zpěvák Ian „Lemmy“ Kilmister. Kapela je považována za průkopníka nové vlny britského heavy metalu a za jeden ze zdrojů pozdějšího thrash metalu.
Album No Sleep 'til Hammersmith vyšlo v červnu 1981 u vydavatelství Bronze Records a je první koncertní nahrávkou skupiny. Jednalo se o vyvrcholení úspěšného roku, během něhož Motörhead absolvovali britské turné s 32 koncerty za pouhých 34 dnů — název alba odkazuje na nápis na jednom z tour-busů. Album debutovalo na čele britské hitparády a je dodnes nejúspěšnějším titulem kapely v rodné zemi. Tato rozšířená reedice u vydavatelství BMG přináší 35 skladeb na dvou CD, mezi nimi živé verze Ace of Spades, Overkill, Bomber a Iron Horse.
V době vydání alba tvořili Motörhead Lemmy Kilmister (baskytara, zpěv), Phil „Philthy Animal“ Taylor (bicí) a Eddie Clarke (kytara).
