Manic Street Preachers je velšská alternativně rocková skupina, která hraje od roku 1986. V jejich tvorbě rezonují inteligentní, ironické texty s politickým přesahem; žánrově kombinují prvky indie rocku, britpopu i punk stylistiky.
National Treasures: The Complete Singles vyšlo v říjnu 2011 u vydavatelství Columbia jako kompletní přehled singlů kapely na dvou CD. Jde o jejich třetí kompilaci po greatest hits setu Forever Delayed (2002) a kolekci B-stran Lipstick Traces (2003). Album obsahuje 38 nahrávek a jako novinku nabízí coververzi This Is the Day od The The, která vyšla jako singl v září 2011. Ve Spojeném království se kompilace umístila na 10. místě žebříčku.
V době vydání sestavu tvořili James Dean Bradfield (kytara, zpěv), Sean Moore (bicí, perkuse, trubka) a Nicky Wire (baskytara).
