Grateful Dead byla americká rocková skupina založená v roce 1965 v Kalifornii, známá eklektickým stylem spojujícím prvky rocku, blues, folku, country, jazzu a psychedelie. Proslula především dlouhými improvizacemi během živých vystoupení a oddanou fanouškovskou základnou „Deadheads“.
Vinylový box Europe '72, Vol. 11: Olympia Theatre, Paris, France 5/3/72 obsahuje kompletní záznam koncertu ze 3. května 1972 v Olympia Theatre v Paříži, součást slavného evropského turné skupiny z jara 1972. Vydalo vydavatelství Rhino v roce 2011 jako součást série Europe '72: The Complete Recordings dokumentující celkově 22 koncertů z tohoto turné. Šest vinylů obsahuje 32 skladeb včetně klasik jako Bertha, Playing in the Band, Good Lovin' či rozsáhlá improvizační suita The Other One.
Na albu se podíleli Bruce Hornsby, Robert Hunter a Rob Wasserman.
