Depeche Mode je anglická elektronická skupina založená v Basildonu v roce 1980, jedna z nejúspěšnějších formací new wave a syntetického popu. Jejich inovativní přístup k syntezátorům a vzorkování ovlivnil celou moderní elektronickou scénu a album Violator z roku 1990 patří mezi kameny elektronické hudby. V roce 2020 byla skupina uvedena do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Playing the Angel | The 12″ Singles je unikátní limitovaná kolekce vydaná v roce 2022 vydavatelstvím Mute na deseti vinylových LP. Box set shromažďuje 35 rozšířených verzí a remixů singlů z alba Playing the Angel — od Sashy, Jacques Lu Conta, Tigy, M83, Holden, Tiefschwarz, Chab a dalších producentů.
