The Velvet Underground byla americká rocková skupina, která vznikla v New Yorku v roce 1965 a stala se jednou z nejvlivnějších kapel v historii undergroundové a experimentální hudby. Kolem osobností Lou Reeda a Johna Calea vytvořila zvuk, jenž definoval éru a inspiroval generace hudebníků.
Koncertní album Live At Max's Kansas City zachycuje vystoupení skupiny v legendárním newyorském klubu Max's Kansas City z roku 1970. Oficiálně bylo vydáno v květnu 1972 a nabízí autentický záznam závěrečného období kapely. Remasterovaná verze z roku 2015 přichází na barevném vinylu (burgundy a červená) se 14 skladbami, včetně Sweet Jane, Pale Blue Eyes a I'm Waiting for the Man. Dvoudeskové LP zachycuje surovou energii a improvizační duch skupiny na vrcholu tvůrčích sil.
