Unanimated je švédská death metalová kapela založená v roce 1988 ve Stockholmu, působící v žánru melodického death metalu s prvky black metalu. Po raných demech se kapela stala součástí undergroundové švédské metalové scény.
In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead je debut kapely, vydaný v roce 1993 u vydavatelství Pavement Music. Album obsahuje 11 skladeb a patří k raným příkladům melodického death metalu, kombinujícího tvrdost death metalu s atmosférickými prvky a melodickými linkami. Vychází na CD. Přestože kritiky byly pozitivní, album zůstalo undergroundovým tipem, částečně kvůli malému vydavatelství a upadajícímu komerčnímu zájmu o death metal v polovině 90. let. Mezi výraznější skladby patří Blackness of the Fallen Star, Fire Storm nebo titulní In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead.
V době vydání alba tvořili kapelu Jojje Bohlin, Micke Jansson, Daniel Lofthagen, Jonas Mellberg, Peter Stjärnvind a Jocke Westman.
