Tarja Turunen, známá jako Tarja, je finská sopranistka, která získala mezinárodní uznání jako bývalá zpěvačka skupiny Nightwish (1996–2005). Kombinuje klasický operní zpěv s rockovými a metalovými prvky.
Album From Spirits and Ghosts (Score for a Dark Christmas) vyšlo v roce 2017 u vydavatelství earMUSIC. Jedná se o její osmý sólový počin, druhý s klasickou vánoční tématikou. Dvojalbum nabízí 31 skladeb – známé koledy jako O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen nebo Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, dále variace na Ave Maria a finské vánoční písně včetně Sydämeeni Joulun Teen či Varpunen Jouluaamuna.
