Super Furry Animals je velšská alternativní rocková skupina založená v roce 1993 v Cardiffu. Patří k nejvýznamnějším hudebním tělesům z Walesu a proslavila se eklektickým propojením stylu od popu přes progresivní rock až po elektroniku a punk.
Rings Around the World vyšlo v roce 2001 jako páté studiové album skupiny a zároveň první pro velké vydavatelství Epic Records. Deska byla při svém vydání průkopnická — jako první v historii vyšla současně na audio CD a DVD. Album se v britské hitparádě vyšplhalo na 3. místo, bylo nominováno na cenu Mercury a časopis Mojo ho označil za album roku. Hudebně propojuje pop, progresivní rock, jungle, elektroniku, techno, punk i death metal. K dvacátému výročí vychází remasterované vydání z původních pásů na 3 CD, s demy, remixy a bonusovými nahrávkami (celkem 55 skladeb). Z alba pocházejí singly Juxtapozed with u, (Drawing) Rings Around the World a It's Not the End of the World?.
