Sting, vlastním jménem Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, je anglický hudebník, zpěvák a skladatel. Před zahájením sólové kariéry byl hlavním zpěvákem, skladatelem a baskytaristou rockové skupiny The Police, která patřila k nejvýznamnějším kapelám sedmdesátých a osmdesátých let.
Album The Bridge vyšlo 19. listopadu 2021 u vydavatelství A&M Records a jedná se o Stingovo patnácté studiové album. Jde o jeho první rockově orientovanou desku od alba 57th & 9th z roku 2016. Album vznikalo během pandemie a osobních ztrát a zahrnuje třináct skladeb, mezi kterými vyznívá singl If It's Love, titulní skladba The Bridge či cover verze klasiky (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay. Na nahrávce se opět podíleli dlouholetí spolupracovníci Branford Marsalis na saxofonu a klarnetu a Manu Katché na bicí.
