Status Quo je britská rocková skupina, založená v Londýně v roce 1962, známá charakteristickým boogie rockovým soundem. Od konce 60. let patří k nejúspěšnějším britským kapelám s desítkami hitů v žebříčcích.
Album Riffs vyšlo v listopadu 2003 u vydavatelství Universal Music TV na 2 CD a celkem obsahuje 31 skladeb. Deset z nich tvoří coververze rockových a popových klasik (Born to Be Wild, I Fought the Law, Tobacco Road), zatímco zbylé jsou nově nahrané verze vlastních hitů ze 70. let, jako Caroline, Whatever You Want či Rockin' All Over the World. První vydání přinášelo také bonus v podobě DVD s televizními záznamy a klipem k singlu „Jam Side Down“ z předchozího alba.
V době vydání alba tvořili sestavu Status Quo Francis Rossi (zpěv, kytara), Rick Parfitt (zpěv, kytara), Andy Bown (harmonika, klávesy), John Edwards (baskytara) a Matthew Letley (bicí).
