Album vyšlo v srpnu 1987 a obsahuje 27 nahrávek spojujících rockové a soulové klasiky 60. let s novými filmovými písněmi. Mezi účinkujícími najdete Erica Carmena, Billa Medleyho, Jennifer Warnes i hlavního představitele filmu Patricka Swayzeho. Soundtrack dosáhl čísla 1 v USA, kde se držel na špici žebříčku 18 týdnů, a patří s celosvětovým prodejem přes 32 milionů kopií k nejprodávanějším albům všech dob.
