James Horner byl americký skladatel filmové hudby, známý spojením chorálních a elektronických prvků s častým používáním keltské hudby. Za svou kariéru získal dvě ceny Oscar za soundtrack k filmu Titanic z roku 1997.
Soundtrack Avatar: Music From the Motion Picture z roku 2009 obsahuje orchestrální hudbu k filmu Jamese Camerona Avatar. Vydalo jej vydavatelství Music on Vinyl na dvojvinylu s celkem 14 skladbami. Mezi skladbami najdete úvodní You Don't Dream in Cryo, atmosférickou The Bioluminescence of the Night, ústřední téma I See You nebo epickou War. Hudbu nahrál orchestr v Newman Scoring Stage pod taktovkou skladatele Jamese Hornera.
