Saxon je britská heavymetalová skupina založená v roce 1975 v Barnsleyu, klíčový představitel hnutí new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM). Během osmdesátých let dosáhla značného komerčního úspěchu, prodala přes 23 milionů nosičů a dodnes aktivně koncertuje.
Album Rock the Nations vyšlo původně v roce 1986 jako desátá studiová deska kapely. Tato reedice z roku 2018 na CD přináší remasterované nahrávky z roku 2010 a obsahuje 17 skladeb včetně bonusových B-stran singlů (například Chase the Fade, Everybody Up) a živých nahrávek z Reading Festival. Seznam skladeb otevírá titulní skladba Rock the Nations, následují hymny jako Battle Cry, Waiting for the Night nebo Northern Lady.
