Savatage je americká heavy metalová skupina založená v roce 1979 bratry Jonem a Crissem Olivovými na Floridě. Pod původním jménem Avatar vydali debut Sirens (1983), poté přejmenovali na Savatage.
EP The Dungeons Are Calling vyšlo původně v roce 1984 na Par Records a představuje ranou fázi tvorby kapely. Reedice z roku 2021 na LP přináší sedm skladeb včetně titulní The Dungeons Are Calling, By The Grace Of The Witch, Visions, Midas Knight, City Beneath The Surface, The Whip a bonusovou The Dungeons Are Calling (Outtake). Materiál zachycuje charakteristický agresivní heavy metal sound raných osmdesátých let.
