New Order patří mezi klíčové představitele new wave a post-punku. Skupinu založili v roce 1980 pozůstavší členové legendárních Joy Division po tragické smrti zpěváka Iana Curtise. Ve svých počátcích spojovala post-punk s elektronikou, později experimentovala s moderními technologiemi a tanečními rytmy. Jejich singl Blue Monday z roku 1983 zůstává nejprodávanějším dvanáctipalcovým singlem všech dob.
Živé album Education Entertainment Recreation vyšlo v roce 2021 u Warner Music na dvojím CD. Obsahuje 21 skladeb zaznamenaných během jediné britské show v roce 2018 v londýnské Alexandra Palace. Setlist zahrnuje klasiky jako Blue Monday, True Faith, Bizarre Love Triangle, ale i skladby z éry Joy Division (Love Will Tear Us Apart, Atmosphere), stejně jako novější kousky typu Singularity.
V době vydání tvořili sestavu Stephen Morris (bicí, perkuse, syntezátory), Bernard Sumner (kytara, zpěv, syntezátory), Phil Cunningham (elektronické bicí, kytara, syntezátory) a Tom Chapman (baskytara, syntezátory).
