Kansas je americká progresivní rocková skupina z Topeky, která vznikla na přelomu 60. a 70. let. Patří k významným představitelům žánru, proslula hity jako Carry On Wayward Son a Dust in the Wind a absolvovala stovky týdnů v amerických žebříčcích.
Album The Absence of Presence vyšlo v červenci 2020 u vydavatelství Inside Out Music jako šestnáctá studiová deska kapely. Nabízí celkem 27 nahrávek na 2 Blu-ray discích, včetně původního stereo mixu, prostorového 5.1 mixu a videoobsahu. Mezi skladby patří Throwing Mountains, Circus of Illusion nebo Never.
Na albu se podíleli Billy Greer, Ronnie Platt, Zak Rizvi a Tom Brislin.
