Iron Maiden je britská heavy metalová skupina založená v roce 1975 basistou Stevem Harrisem, průkopník New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Její vliv na metal byl zcela zásadní; od vydání debutového alba v roce 1980 se stala jednou z nejstabilnějších a komerčně nejúspěšnějších kapel žánru.
Death on the Road je šestý koncertní záznam skupiny, vydaný v roce 2005 u vydavatelství Parlophone. Album bylo nahráno 24. listopadu 2003 ve Westfalenhallen v Dortmundu během turné k albu Dance of Death. Tento dvojvinyl přináší 16 skladeb, mezi nimiž nechybí klasiky jako Hallowed Be Thy Name, Fear of the Dark, The Number of the Beast či Run to the Hills, vedle novějších hitů z alb Brave New World a Dance of Death. Originální mix připravil Kevin Shirley, celek editoval Steve Harris.
Na albu se podíleli Steve Harris (basová kytara, doprovodný zpěv, klávesy), Nicko McBrain (bicí, perkuse) a Janick Gers (kytara).
