Steve Hackett je britský kytarista a skladatel, který se proslavil jako člen progresivně rockové skupiny Genesis, kde působil v letech 1971–1977 a přispěl k šesti studiovým albům. Od odchodu ze skupiny se věnuje sólové kariéře, při níž se pohybuje v širokém spektru od progresivního rocku přes blues a jazz až ke klasické hudbě.
Album The Circus and the Nightwhale vyšlo v roce 2024 u vydavatelství Sony Music. Toto vydání v balení MediaBook přináší dva Blu-ray disky s celkem 39 nahrávkami. Mezi zvýrazněnými skladbami najdete People of the Smoke, Ghost Moon and Living Love nebo Into the Nightwhale.
