Epica je nizozemská kapela hrající symfonický metal s prvky gothic metalu, která vznikla v roce 2002 pod vedením kytaristy Marka Jansena po jeho odchodu z After Forever. Ve své tvorbě kombinuje operní zpěv, death metalové vokály, progresivní metalové struktury a občas také texty v latině.
Kompilace We Still Take You With Us – The Early Years vyšla v roce 2022 u vydavatelství Nuclear Blast na 4 CD a zahrnuje 59 skladeb z raného období kapely. Box obsahuje nahrávky z alb The Phantom Agony a Consign to Oblivion, včetně demoverzí jako Cry for the Moon (Sahara Dust demo) a německé verze Falsches Spiel (Run for a Fall). Kolekce dokumentuje vývoj Epicy od symfonického metalu s gotickými vlivy k začlenění death metalových prvků a progresivních struktur.
