Cream byla britská rocková superskupina založená v Londýně roku 1966, tvořená členy z dříve úspěšných kapel. Jejich zvuk kombinoval blues rock, hard rock a psychedelický rock, přičemž skupina byla vysoce oceňována za instrumentální dovednosti každého z hudebníků.
Wheels of Fire je třetí studiové album vydané v roce 1968 na vydavatelství Universal Music Recordings, nyní ve speciálním pěti-CD boxu obsahujícím celkem 63 nahrávek. Původně vyšlo jako dvojalbum s jedním studiovým a jedním koncertním diskem, přičemž dosáhlo 3. místa ve Velké Británii a 1. pozice v USA. Album se stalo prvním dvojalbem v historii s platinovým certifikátem a zahrnuje klasické skladby jako White Room, Politician či Born Under a Bad Sign.
V době vydání alba tvořili skupinu bubeník Ginger Baker, baskytarista a zpěvák Jack Bruce a kytarista Eric Clapton.
