Londýnská Royal Albert Hall je pro Claptona pomyslným druhým domovem. Od roku 1964, kdy v britském svatostánku poprvé vystoupil s Yardbirds, odehrál ve slavném prostoru přes 200 koncertů. V roce 1991 překonal rekord, když v Royal Albert Hall uspořádal 24 koncertů v řadě. Ještě tentýž rok pak vydal živé dvojalbum 24 Nights, které však obsahovalo jen malou část toho, co Eric Clapton během těchto nocí zaznamenal. To se teď mění. The Definitive 24 Nights nabízí více než šest hodin jedinečné hudby uspořádané do tří celků – rock, blues a orchestral. Audio i video záznam byl nově zreastaurován a je k dispozici v boxech 6CD+3BR nebo 9LP+3BR a také jednotlivě dle zmíněných žánrových celků (vinylové a kombinované 2CD/DVD verze).
