Armin van Buuren je nizozemský DJ a producent specializující se na trance. Od roku 2001 moderuje týdenní rozhlasovou show A State of Trance, která vysílá pro téměř 40 milionů posluchačů ve více než 84 zemích. V roce 2003 založil vlastní vydavatelství Armada Music.
Album Intense na double LP přináší čtrnáct skladeb s hostujícími vokalisty včetně Fiory, Emmy Hewitt, Richarda Bedforda a Laury Jansen. Vinylová sada obsahuje tracky jako This is What It Feels Like s Trevorem Guthrie, instrumentální Pulsar nebo energickou Who's Afraid of 138?!. Album vyšlo na Armada Music a zachycuje van Buurenův charakteristický trance sound s prvky progressive a uplifting trance.
