Ayreon je progresivně metalový projekt nizozemského multiinstrumentalisty a skladatele Arjena Anthonyho Lucassena. Hudba projektu spojuje prvky progressive metalu, rocku a power metalu s orchestrálními aranžemi, přičemž jednotlivá alba představují komplexní sci-fi příběhy, v nichž každou postavu zpívá jiný vokální host.
Kompilace Universal Migrator, Part I & II vyšla v roce 2004 u vydavatelství Music Theories Recordings jako trojdiskový set obsahující celkem 30 skladeb. Tento koncept spojuje původně samostatně vydaná alba The Dream Sequencer a Flight of the Migrator do jednoho celku. Děj sleduje lidskou duši na cestě časem a prostorem, od pradávných civilizací přes historické epochy až k útěku skrze černou díru. Mezi zvýrazněné skladby patří The Dream Sequencer, Into the Black Hole a Dawn of a Million Souls.
Na albu se podíleli Arjen Anthony Lucassen, bubeník Ed Warby, dále Joost van den Broek, Jeroen Goossens a Ben Mathot.
