Ayreon je hudební projekt nizozemského multiinstrumentalisty Arjena Lucassena, který spojuje progressive metal s rockovými operami. Každé album představuje unikátní sci-fi nebo fantasy příběh s různými zpěváky v jednotlivých rolích.
Kompilace 30th Anniversary - An Amazing Flight Through Time vyšla na barevném červeném vinylu jako oslava tří desetiletí projektu. Třídiskové vydání obsahuje výběr skladeb z celé Lucassenovy diskografie, včetně Dream Sequencer, Into the Black Hole, The Theory of Everything či Sail Away To Avalon. Materiál zachycuje vývoj Ayreonu od debutu The Final Experiment z roku 1995 po současnost.
