Afflicted byla švédská death metalová kapela ze Stockholmu aktivní v letech 1988–1995, která zpočátku hrála technický death metal s výraznými prvky thrash metalu. Kapela sama označovala svůj styl jako „Psychedelic Ultraviolent Heavy Grindcore“.
Kompilace Beyond Redemption / Demos & Eps 1989-1992 na 2CD přináší v limitované remasterované edici komplexní kolekci raných demonahrávek a EP od této stockholmské formace. První CD obsahuje skladby z demonahrávek Toxic Existence (1989), Psychedelic Grindcore (1989) a Beyond Redemption (1990). Druhé CD nabízí materiál z promo kazety z roku 1990, dema The Odious Reflection (1990), EP Ingrained (1990), Wanderland (1991) a Rising To the Sun (1992), včetně coverové verze skladby 7 Gates of Hell. Kompilace tak dokumentuje vývoj kapely od raného grindcore až po propracovanější technický death metal.
